The Delaware City Terminal Operator is responsible for the receipt and shipment of petroleum products via pipeline or truck, as directed by the Delaware City Terminal & Pipeline Manager. This role includes maintenance and accounting duties in compliance with company and governmental regulations. The Terminal Operator also supports operations, maintenance, safety, and environmental matters in the absence of the Terminal Manager.

This role includes maintenance and accounting duties in compliance with company and governmental regulations. The Terminal Operator also supports operations, maintenance, safety, and environmental matters in the absence of the Terminal Manager.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations to minimize risks to public safety and the environment.
- Enhance operational efficiency and financial profitability through well-maintained facilities.
- Utilize the Terminal Automation System to prepare daily inventory, terminal balance, and rack activity reports.
- Forward daily inventory and accounting reports to customers, ensuring they receive necessary throughput and inventory information.
- Ensure all environmental and safety equipment is functioning properly.
- Sample and analyze products as instructed by the Terminal Manager.
- Maintain loading rack equipment (mechanical and electrical) in clean and operational condition.
- Interact with drivers to ensure adherence to company and safety regulations.
- Train new drivers in facility automation loading equipment and emergency features.
- Conduct safety watches with outside contractors as advised by the Terminal Manager.
- Monitor the backup Pipeline HMI at the truck rack for additional security for the Pipeline’s Central Control Center and report alarms as instructed by management.
- Maintain the terminal's appearance, keeping it free of trash and debris, and ensuring grass is mowed and edged when appropriate.
- Respond to after-hours calls as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Sound business judgment and initiative required for meeting deadlines and establishing priorities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with company personnel, customers, and contractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license required to operate company vehicles and equipment.
- Experience in Oil or Petrochemical Terminal Operations preferred.
