Night (United States of America) HIM Specialist The HIM Specialist is responsible for the release of medical information; assisting in the analysis and processing of incomplete medical records, distribution functions, completion of birth certificates, and processing of internal and external requests; provides assistance to the physicians in completion of records. Provides excellent customer service to all customers. - High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. - Two (2) years of college and/or other related course work, such as medical terminology, anatomy and physiology preferred. - RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) credential preferred. - 1-3 years progressive Health Information Management experience preferred - Must have proficient computer skills. - Experience with an Electronic Medical Records system preferred. - Knowledge of Health Information Management software applications . - Must be customer-service oriented and able to effectively communicate and build relationships with Team Members at all levels in the organization. - Professionalism in interpersonal communication skills with patients, patient families, colleagues, physicians and ancillary department personnel is required. - Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to assist in providing exceptional care for our patients and their families.
