Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Think above and beyond the day-to-day responsibilities to understand broader growth and Business Unit (BU) strategy.
- Apply understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and industry best practices.
- Understand overall government and individual agency vehicle/acquisition methods and strategically build joint ventures, contractor teaming arrangements, and other strategic alliances.
- Understand company quarterly and annual revenue targets and develop the account strategy to meet them.
Bid and Proposals
- Collaborate with growth and business unit leadership to execute business development strategy for the Federal Civilian Business Unit, with a particular focus on Health and Human Services (HHS), General Services Administration (GSA), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
- Assist Growth and Business Unit leadership with full-spectrum business development, capture, and proposal activities:
- Strategize for entry and expansion.
- Perform account, partner, and opportunity research.
- Manage new vehicle/opportunity identification and pursuit.
- Manage client relationships and call planning to understand business needs, observe and interview, forge deep connections, analyze competitors and trends, and position PBG.
- Translate technical concepts, hot buttons, and win strategies into white papers, market research, and proposal writing.
- Manage small and large business partnerships related to key account(s).
Marketing-Driven Sales & Events
- Work with the Marketing and Experience Department to develop targeted client and thought leadership campaigns and PR activities, while maximizing value from industry connections.
- Participate in seminars, conferences, and forums.
- Engage in industry associations/groups to increase brand awareness.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in strategy, pipeline development, sales, front-end customer engagement, capture, and proposal development.
- Maintains an existing network of customer contacts in the Federal Civilian community.
- Proven record of success leading teams in winning new business opportunities valued at $30M or greater.
- Proven record of success winning F&O work.
- Must have experience with federal proposals and understand complex RFQ/RFP compliance requirements.
- Networked in related organizations (e.g., ACT-IAC, AFCEA Bethesda, PSC, AFFIRM, etc.); active role preferred (e.g., leadership positions, panelist engagements, etc.).
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical, business, or related discipline.
