Summary:
The Maintenance Manager demonstrates the comprehensive upkeep of plant infrastructure, guaranteeing optimal functionality and safety across all equipment and facilities. In this role it will encompass strategizing, coordinating, and implementing maintenance initiatives, stewarding financial and material resources, and upholding adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and maximize equipment life.
- Plan and schedule all maintenance activities, including major overhauls, inspections, and repairs.
- Manage the maintenance and capital budgets, including purchasing of parts, supplies, and equipment.
- Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with contractors and vendors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Continuously improving maintenance processes and procedures.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Provide technical support to production personnel.
- All other duties may be assigned.
- Education/Experience: 2 years technical education; 7 years manufacturing plant maintenance; at least 2 years' experience of people leadership.
- Specialized knowledge or training: Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment, including rotating equipment, instrumentation, and control systems. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Other special skills: Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Travel up to 10% of time.
