The Civil Designer will provide design and drafting support for various civil site development and land development projects from conceptual phase through construction documents. Tasks will include developing small and large-scale K-12 educational, higher educational, commercial, industrial, public works, and parks / recreation projects.
Your Impact :
- Complete preliminary engineering studies and reports.
- Perform drainage system design and calculations including detention pond and storm sewer sizing.
- Perform site grading.
- Design water and sanitary sewer systems.
- Assist in final engineering plan production with CAD staff.
- Assist in the preparation of final engineering specifications.
- Designs work in compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and standards.
- Perform quantity take-offs and estimates.
- Work with the appropriate authorities having jurisdiction to obtain plan approval and permits.
- Review of submittals and answer Contractor's RFIs.
- Periodic site observations during construction.
