What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Accountant position at PBK?
The ideal candidate for Project Accountant will be a diligent and detail-oriented individual that can work well with little guidance beyond initial training. The candidate should have a minimum of an associate degree (Bachelor's degree preferred) in Accounting or a minimum of 4 plus years of professional experience in project-based accounting. The candidate must be very accurate, timely and detail oriented. Candidates must take a proactive approach to problem solving and be able to communicate effectively with vendors and internal management.
Your Impact :
- Work with Project Managers to initiate and complete project setup.
- Must work closely with the Project Managers to determine the stage of project completion to ensure the accuracy of reporting and billing.
- Be the liaison between Projects teams and the Controllers and Billing staff
- Keep assigned project information updated in ERP (Deltek) at all times
- The candidate must have the ability to research expenses incurred during a project to determine if the expense is eligible for reimbursement per contractual agreements.
- Assist in monthly project reviews with Operations.
- Review consultant invoices.
- Provide financial guidance on an ad hoc basis.
- All other duties as assigned.

The actual offered base salary for California locations will vary depending on factors such as individual qualifications, education, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, work location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role will be at or near the top half of the range provided, but the decision will be dependent on the factors of each individual case. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation in the form of discretionary bonuses in addition to base salary and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
