PBMares has a great internship opportunity for Accounting students interested in being a part of a collaborative team and receive mentoring from all experienced team members including the partners.

Our Winter Audit Internship Program is a great way for you to build your professional network and experience through firm sponsored events, and on the job training. We provide direct and relevant exposure to both tax and audit work under the supervision of a dedicated mentor. The program is intended to develop the skills that lead to a full-time career opportunity for the right candidates. We recognize that our success depends on the caliber of our team members. Each member of our team has specialized knowledge and experience in niche industries that allows them to fulfill our clients' needs.

What You Will Learn:

• How to perform audit procedures for specific accounts and transactions resulting in preparation of financial statements
• How to set up supporting document workpapers
• Creation of depreciation schedules
• Technology and software exposure to some or all of the following: ProSystems FX, Caseware, iChannel, Practice Engine, Quickbooks
• Methods to enhance business writing, professional networking, and communication skills

Position Requirements

What we require:

• Must be a 2024 graduating senior or recent graduate with a major in accounting at an accredited institution
• Must have a current and graduate with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Reliable transportation for social events and client visits
• Ability to work minimum 40 per week with flexiblity to work over duirng busy season (January 2025 through April 2025)
