The Risk Advisory Services Supervisor Consultant plays a key role in overseeing the strategic execution of client engagements, ensuring the efficient, timely, and accurate production of deliverables, which aligns with the firm’s overall objectives. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of client engagements, including evaluating internal controls and process improvement, and ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget. You will oversee the workflow, direct client communication, and the performance of team members, ensuring engagement progress with minimal involvement from managers or partners.

What you will do:
- Plan and implement engagement strategy in accordance with firm guidance, coordinate on-site or remote daily work efforts, assist with engagement management activities, oversee staff, and review completion of fieldwork
- Evaluate working papers to determine whether the engagement was performed in accordance with accepted standards
- Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance
- Provide candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner to team members, when necessary
- Review with the manager or partner any significant findings that raise questions
- Prepare or reviews reports for later discussion between the manager or partner and the client
- May discuss these matters with the client or be the relationship manager for a client
- Keep managers and engagement leadership informed of progress and issues
- Delegate and collaborate effectively with others to provide stretch opportunities and coach associates to help deliver results
- Contribute to staff development by serving in educational programs as an instructor or discussion leader
- Work with existing processes and systems whilst identifying and making constructive suggestions for improvements and proposing innovative solutions when problems and/or opportunities arise
- Develop and share relevant thought leadership throughout the year
- Work on building and developing internal relationships and your PBMares brand
- Create relationship opportunities with clients and non-clients to expand our practice, and beginning to develop prospects
- Keep up-to-date with local and national business and economic issues, especially within relevant client industries
- Keep up to date with technical developments in area of specialization
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4 or more years of relevant experience
- CPA, CIA, or CISA eligible or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organization skills with influencing skills / leadership potential
- Advanced auditing skills
- Interpersonal and business communication skills – verbal and written
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate progressive ability to work independently requiring less and less supervision
- Proficiency with technology including at a minimum Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Flexibility to travel to out-of-town engagements
- Masters Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Academic internship in the accounting field
- 4 or more directly related years of experience in public accounting
