Position Summary:
The IT Specialist supervises the IT Helpdesk queue by quickly responding to users tickets and updating the tickets before closing with the resolution notes. In addition, this position is required to on-board and offboard users within the timeframe given.
Primary Job Duties:
- Provides IT support for all company systems software and hardware solutions.
- Troubleshoots systems software and addresses basic incident requests.
- Triage customer and internal phone calls and emails
- Logs and updates incidents in the ticketing system and working them or assigning them to tier 3 as needed.
- Escalates and follows up on urgent incidents with department managers.
- Maintains accurate data records in department ticketing system.
- Contacts 3rd party vendors for support, as needed.
- Contributes articles and documentation to department.
- Maintains Knowledge Base
- Performs basic network TCP/IP connectivity troubleshooting.
- Ability to RDP into customer environments to troubleshoot system failures to resolve system issues and/or train customers.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Advanced Windows OS knowledge
- Experience in Active Directory
- Experience with installing and updating licensed software.
- Experience in replacing computer hardware.
- Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Preferred Education and Experience
- 1 plus years' experience in customer support
- A Certification, MSCA, or equivalent certificates
- Cloud/Terminal Computing
- Hands-on experience tracking issues in a ticketing system
- Hands-on experience in a small enterprise network environment, client server topology concepts, and TCP/IP protocol.
