A leading design-build firm is seeking an experienced and dynamic Northeast Market Lead (Vice President of Construction) to spearhead business development, client relationships, and project execution within the region. The Northeast office currently manages $200M annually, with continued expansion into new sectors, contributing to nearly $1 billion in projects nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Growth
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand the firm’s footprint in the Northeast region.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering relationships with developers, investors, and industry stakeholders.
- Guide growth into new sectors, ensuring sustainable expansion.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand awareness.
- Collaborate with internal teams to craft compelling proposals and win competitive bids.
Client & Project Leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless project execution and exceptional service.
- Oversee project onboarding, setting clear deliverables, realistic deadlines, and efficient workflows.
- Work closely with internal teams, including preconstruction, design, and construction management, to ensure projects align with client expectations and company standards.
- Manage and strengthen subcontractor relationships, ensuring quality partnerships.
Regional Operations & Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor regional project teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
- Advise ownership on decision-making related to hiring, firing, market strategy, and overall direction of the Northeast office.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in construction, design-build, or real estate development.
- Proven track record of business development, project leadership, and market expansion in the Northeast.
- Strong network of industry contacts, including developers, architects, and consultants.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel as needed within the region.
