We are seeking a skilled Craftsman to join our team – someone with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, using high-quality materials and advanced woodworking techniques to create and install custom millwork. Position Summary 
Craftsman will assist in millwork installations, perform essential physical labor, and maintain a clean and safe job site. Under the supervision of senior team members, you will develop hands-on skills in woodworking, precision cutting, and assembling millwork components. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to grow within the trade and gain valuable experience. You must be punctual, dependable, and have reliable transportation to and from job sites. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 

Production 

  • Perform physical labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and positioning materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Assist in the preparation and installation of various millwork components such as cabinetry, moldings, trim, and architectural woodwork.
  • Work collaboratively with senior team members to support all stages of the installation process.
  • Identify and report minor tool, material, or machinery issues to supervisors.
  • Demonstrate a keen eye for precision, assisting with cutting, sanding, and assembling materials accurately.
  • Organize and prepare materials, including cutting to size. Sanding rough edges, and cleaning components before installation.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to support project timelines. 
 Safety, Health, and Environment 
  • Follow all safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of woodworking tools, including hand tools, power drills, sanders, and nail guns. 
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents to supervisors. 
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment. 
  • Use proper ergonomics while lifting, cutting, or assembling materials to prevent injury. 
  • Promote a respectful and inclusive work environment, free from discrimination or harassment. 

Quality 

  • Take pride in craftsmanship, ensuring all work meets company standards. 
  • Assist in protecting existing and previously installed millwork from damage. 
  • Ensure materials being installed are correct, properly prepared, and free from defects. 
  • Communicate any defective products or material inconsistencies to senior team members.

Minimum Job Requirements 

  • Tool Maintenance: Ensure machinery and tools are regularly maintained, calibrated, and safe to use, alerting management to any issues that require repair or replacement. 
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work with others to troubleshoot and resolve design, material, or technical issues that may arise during production. 
  • Quality Control: Able to inspect finished pieces for quality and accuracy, ensuring that they meet company and client standards. Troubleshooting minor defects or errors independently. 
  • Assembly: Assemble components of complex custom pieces (e.g., cabinets, doors, or windows) with expert-level attention to detail. 
  • Must be 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the US 
  • Must have and maintain a positive attitude towards safety and follow all company protocols. 
  • 40 hours a week. 
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to different job sites as needed. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred 
  • At least one 1 year of experience in construction, carpentry, or millwork preferred. 
  • Able to communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions.
