Position Summary
Tradesman will independently execute millwork installations, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires proficiency in blueprint reading, advanced tool operation, and collaboration with both junior and senior team members to maintain efficiency and precision on job sites. You will play a key role in supporting project success by executing high- quality installations and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production
o Independently install various millwork components, including cabinetry, moldings, trims, paneling, and architectural woodwork.
o Work collaboratively with senior team members, assisting in all stages of projects and learning best practices.
o Identify and report issues with tools, machinery, or materials to maintain a smooth workflow.
o Proficiently operate advanced woodworking tools and machinery without direct supervision.
o Prepare materials by measuring, cutting, sanding, and finishing components before installation.
o Maintain a strong work ethic, with reliable attendance and punctuality.
Safety, Health, and Environment
o Follow all company safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
o Ensure all tools and machinery are regularly maintained, properly calibrated, and safe for use.
o Immediately report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents to the supervisor.
o Keep work areas clean and organized to prevent hazards and maintain efficiency.
o Use proper ergonomics and lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
o Request additional training on tools, safety procedures, or installation techniques when needed.
Quality
o Take pride in craftsmanship and ensure all installations meet company and client standards.
o Inspect finished work for accuracy, proper alignment, and overall quality.
o Protect existing or previously installed millwork from damage during job site operations.
o Communicate defects or material inconsistencies to senior team members for resolution.
