What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Manufacturing Manager - Vibration Analyst position at PCA?
The Area Manufacturing Manager provides high level manufacturing expertise and vibration analysis in the application of best available technology and practices for all PCA facilities. The Area Manufacturing Manager works with mill manufacturing and personnel, and corporate resources to facilitate the exchange of best practices. The ideal candidate will have project management, equipment installation, and start-up experience, as well as preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and project design experience. Papermill &/or corrugated experience is strongly preferred.
**Relocation is not required but must have the ability to travel up to 70% to various PCA locations.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to the business and manufacturing operations.
Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
Provide project management support across the business when and where needed as projects arise.
Provide installation and construction management for projects as needed.
Provide technical training to plant personnel on newly installed technologies.
Involved in developing business and/or plant capital plans.
Develop plans, specifications and reports.
Make actionable recommendations based on sound engineering judgment.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
8 years as Vibration Analyst
4 Years Paper Mill Experience a Plus
Box Plant Experience a Plus
Vibration Certification a Plus
Ability to travel 70% of the time and can reside anywhere in lower 48 states with good access to reliable air transportation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence and persuade others.
Experience with Preventive, Predictive and Reliability-based maintenance practices
Excellent organization and planning skills are a requirement.
Ability to work well with consulting engineers, mill Analysts and mill Supervision
Strong working knowledge of troubleshooting and providing solutions to Paper Machinery and support equipment Vibration issues
Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cat 3 or Higher Vibration Certification
Emerson AMS Vibration SW experience
MeScope SW ODS Experience
Modal Testing
Project Management Skills
New Installations and Rebuild Projects
Excellent Communications Skills
High Speed DAQ experience
Mechanical or Electrical Journeyman Certification
Salary : $125,000 - $179,000
