We are seeking resumes for Electricians and Instrument Technicians (2 - openings) for the Maintenance Department at our Wallula, WA facility.Pay and Benefits: The hourly rate for the E&I Technician position ranges from $36.01 to $45.94 DOEEmployees (and their dependents) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life, and disability insurance coverage, subject to applicable waiting periods. Employees are automatically enrolled in PCA’s 401k retirement plan at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for 40 hours of vacation after one (1) year of service and between 0 and 36 hours of vacation during their first year. Employees also receive nine (9) paid holidays and up to five (5) paid floating holidays per calendar year.This is a union environment. Employees will receive all of the rights and benefits associated with union membership when they join our mill facility.This position is not eligible for relocation benefits
Responsibilities:Maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment.
Problem solving, troubleshooting, installing, repairing and maintaining process devices and equipment.Monitoring and providing feedback on equipment conditions and potential failure risks.You’ll be required to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Basic Qualifications:
Electricians - Experience in AC/DC motors, controls, three phase power distribution equipment, lighting, conduit, troubleshooting electrical equipment and understanding of how to read schematics.Knowledge of electrical codes and proficient with PLCs desired.Must have completed an approved apprenticeship program, or Completion of relevant vocational training curriculum from an accredited program and three years experience will be accepted in lieu of apprenticeship program completion.
Instrument Technicians - Experience with problem solving, troubleshooting, installing, repairing and maintaining industrial process devices and equipment.
Completed a two-year formal training including AC/DC theory, process control, calibration or equivalent experience. Must have completed an approved apprenticeship program, or Completion of relevant vocational training curriculum from an accredited program and three years experience will be accepted in lieu of apprenticeship program completion.
All candidates will be required to pass the company's standardized aptitude test for final consideration.
Preferred Qualifications:
State Certified Journeyperson/training -Electrical
2 years credited technical schooling instrumentation
Experience in preventative maintenance
Demonstrated above average computer skills.
Good communication skills.
