Job Summary:
Parking Company of America is seeking a highly organized, flexible, and customer-focused Valet Parking Manager to oversee valet operations for high-profile events. The ideal candidate will have experience in valet services, staff management, and customer service, ensuring smooth and efficient parking solutions for our guests and staff alike. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee valet parking operations for special events, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Hire, train, schedule, and manage valet attendants, ensuring adherence to company policies (including budgetary) and high service standards.
- Develop and implement efficient parking strategies to optimize vehicle flow and minimize wait times.
- Communicate effectively with event organizers, venue staff, and guests to coordinate logistics and address concerns.
- Monitor valet staff performance, providing coaching and feedback to maintain quality service.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, claims, and emergency situations in a professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, insurance policies, and liability guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of parking operations, including ticketing, vehicle counts, and incident reports.
- Manage valet equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness and functionality for each event.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules. It is anticipated that this schedule may vary weekly, so flexibility is a must.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in valet parking management, event coordination, or hospitality services.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure.
- Knowledge of parking logistics, traffic flow management, and safety regulations.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing valet services for large-scale or high-end events.
- CPR/First Aid certification (this will be an ongoing requirement of the position)
- Familiarity with valet parking software and ticketing systems (Flash, TEZ, O Valet, etc.).
