Areas of research can include design optimization, materials, manufacturing processes and calibration systems.
Additional Duties:
- Collaborate as a team member and work independently to generate innovative solutions for complex problems.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding in one or more areas such as solid mechanics, mechanical dynamics, vibration, shock, Piezoelectric, MEMS or acoustics.
- Design of precision mechanical components
- Utilize CAD to 3D model designs for prototyping.
- Experience with AutoDesk Inventor preferred.
- Experience with sensor performance characterization preferred
- Exhibit a basic understanding of data acquisition and signal processing to conduct novel physical experiments
- Experience with MatLab or LabView preferred
- Preform analysis through various techniques including but not limited to hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis
- Experience with Ansys or MatLab preferred
- The candidate will have the opportunity to pursue areas of personal interest within sensor technology.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MS Engineering, or BSME and BSEE
- 10 years
- Computer skills, Microsoft Office software, 3D modeling software

Salary : $72,087 - $108,131
