As an Engineering Manager with PCB Piezotronics, Inc, you will manage engineering resources in the development of new products, continuous improvement of existing products and custom solutions that meet customer and market requirements
Additional Duties
- Manages the design and development of standard products and custom solutions. Assigns staff as appropriate to ensure projects are complete on time. Monitors project from initiation through delivery to ensure product design satisfies specifications and meets established goals within budget and on schedule.
- Collaborates with Technical Marketing and Product Management to develop marketing specifications which includes cost and performance tradeoffs and technical feasibility.
- Manages support of Manufacturing and Quality during the product/project-release. This includes reviewing manufacturing work instructions, tooling and testing solutions. Ensures all technical data is complete and accurate.
- May serve as a liaison to outside vendors and contractors with the responsibility of ensuring vendors have the abilities and resources to support development. May collaborate with vendors on product specifications and component selection.
- Plans and coordinates continuous engineering projects to improve costs, performance and quality.
- Encourages inter-departmental cooperation and supports Sensors’ worldwide R&D strategy.
- Provides consultation and solutions to Technical Marketing and Operations as the lead technical resource.
- Supports the project engineers by guiding solutions, weighing alternatives, and selecting the approach yielding the most favorable overall impact. Oversees the projects from systems perspective.
- Provides feedback to senior management and facilitates communication on project status, justifications for variances and technical information.
- Provides input to annual operating budget and manages against that budget.
- Responsible for the on-going management and development of assigned employees. Determines staffing and skill requirements to meet departmental needs and implements plans to satisfy those requirements.
- Acting regulatory agency oversight, approval and local ATEX representative
- Knows and applies the division’s quality policy and procedures of ISO 9001 as it relates to area of responsibility and the organization. Follows all standard operating procedures as prescribed and notifies appropriate personnel of any non-conformance.
Education:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of direct design and project management experience
- Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions and technical documents

Salary : $95,000 - $125,000
