Position Summary:


Sales Representative for the Northeast United Sates


PCC Chemax, Inc. is a Specialty Chemical Company focusing in the HI&I, Personal Care, Detergents, Pulp & Paper, Adhesives, Textiles, Autocare and Agriculture Industries.


We are currently seeking a Sales Account manager in the Northeast United States.


The role requires the ability to develop and maintain an understanding of the chemistries in our product lines, and the ability to communicate the benefits of the technology to potential customers. The role is accountable for achieving volume, revenue, and margin growth targets within the given territory through a combination of enterprise selling at existing accounts and acquiring new customers in targeted market areas.

 

  • Manage existing accounts seeking to expand volume, introduce new products and enhance margin
  • Monitor business activities and competitors’ actions within the U.S. seeking to gain market share by expanding customer base and product usage.
  • Partner with customers developing sound business solutions their needs.
  • Provide timely feedback to management concerning product acceptance, need for new products, emerging opportunities and challenges.
  • Promote and strengthens customer relations through the prompt resolution of customer problems.
  • Remain technically proficient and knowledgeable concerning the Company’s product offerings and capabilities.


  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field of study.
  • Minimum five years experience in sales. Five years experience in outside B2B sales preferred. Previous experience in chemical sales is a requirement.
  • Have the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and the credibility to influence others.
  • Capable, confident and comfortable holding conversations throughout an organization up to and including C-level executives.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Word
  • At least 50% travel is expected
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.


  • Essential Duties:
  • Manages the sales of Company products within an assigned territory or among selected customers.
  • Develops and implements selling strategies designed to enhance sales volume and margin while promoting solid customer relations.
  • Monitors business conditions and competitors activities so as to be in a position to take maximum advantage of developing situations.
  • Works with customers developing solutions designed to meet their needs while enhancing sales volume and promoting the use of our full product line.
  • Acts as the primary interface between the customer and the Company resolving issues in a timely, professional manner.
  • Ensures any required follow-up takes place and escalates issues when needed in order to resolve issues.
  • Develops and maintains a high degree of competence with regard to Company products and customers’ specifications.
  • Directs the involvement of technical support personnel when necessary.
  • Develops thorough, well planned sales presentations designed to inform customers of PCC Chemax capabilities.
  • Provides input to new product development concerning product introductions and planned lifecycles.
  • Provides support at trade shows/exhibitions.
  • Complies with administrative requirements in the areas of expense reporting, order preparation and sales reporting.
  • May participate as a member of a sales project team developing sales strategies, developing and presenting training to customers and company personnel.
  • Ensures that sales management is made aware in a timely manner of any developments that impact the ability to meet established goals.
