Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The Estimator will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Duties
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create comprehensive bid proposals.
- Conduct site visits to gather relevant data and assess conditions that may impact project costs.
- Collaborate with project management teams to develop budgets and timelines for construction projects.
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to determine pricing strategies.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices in construction estimating.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and processes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid or Bluebeam is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles, including project management methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets related to pricing and costs.
- Effective negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable contract terms.
