PCC Community Wellness Center is seeking a motivated and creative Content Creator Intern to join our Communications and Engagement team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing and executing content strategies that enhance community engagement, amplify our mission, and strengthen our brand presence. As a Content Creator, you will play a key role in creating compelling digital content, supporting marketing initiatives, and fostering communication within our organization and community.
Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and produce engaging content for various digital platforms, including social media, newsletters, and the PCC website.
- Collaborate with the Communications and Engagement team to plan and execute content strategies aligned with PCC’s mission and goals.
- Assist in creating graphics, videos, infographics, and written content that tell impactful stories and engage our target audience.
- Support internal communication efforts by crafting content for employee newsletters, announcements, and other internal channels.
- Monitor social media trends, audience engagement, and analytics to optimize content performance and report insights to the team.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns, events, and initiatives.
- Ensure all content adheres to PCC’s branding and style guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience/Training:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva.
- Experience with social media platforms and an understanding of best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- A passion for community engagement and PCC’s mission to provide accessible healthcare services.
Physical Demands:
- May be required to work irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as necessary to complete assigned duties and responsibilities and/or supervise others.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to move around the clinic site 50% of the time.
- Constantly operates a computer, computer printer, copy machine and telephone.
- Occasionally positions self to maintain exertion of physical strength to move objects of 10 pounds from one level to another.
- This is a hybrid; onsite 1-day minimum requirement. 10-15 hours/week. Up to 20 hours/week with WS.
- Must be able to transport from one site to another, throughout the city and suburbs are required.
