Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Risk Adjustment Coder to join our team. Duties
- Review and interpret medical records to ensure proper coding practices.
- Conduct audits of coding accuracy and compliance with ICD-10 and ICD-9 standards.
- Collaborate with medical office staff to enhance understanding of risk adjustment practices.
- Develop reports on risk adjustment and present findings to staff and management.
- Stay updated on changes in medical terminology, coding guidelines, and regulations affecting risk management.
- Assist in the training of staff on best practices for medical coding and documentation.
Skills
- Proficient knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG (Diagnosis Related Group), and medical terminology.
- Experience with medical collection processes and systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and discrepancies in data.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in coding and documentation.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with medical office operations and procedures related to risk management.
Certifications
