Position Description : Entry Level Data Processing / Pavement / Geotechnical / Construction Engineer
Location : Hanover, MD (This is an Office Position)
Qualification :
Minimum 4 years of engineering / construction / professional experience to replace 4 years of Bachelor in Engineering OR Minimum Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering OR in any Engineering Field.
Looking for an entry level consultant (equivalent to a TE I or TE II) on the data processing team.
Type of work :
Processing, updating, managing, developing, and QC / QA of construction data and pavement condition data collected in the field. Pavement Condition data is mainly for the Pavement parameters like Friction, Rutting, Cracking, and Roughness.
Construction Field experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Access, word etc.
Working knowledge of Pavement failures / distresses
Examples of Work :
Train on software applications (Client is willing to train on the Internal software applications).
Assists in preparation of supporting documentation for engineering projects.
Review plans and specifications.
Learn and become familiar with data collection equipment and operations.
Use available software to develop results used to make engineering decisions regarding pavement and geotechnical recommendations.
Learn and become familiar with pavement and geotechnical engineering guidelines and policies.
Acquire procedural knowledge of both pavement and geotechnical design and pavement management projects.
Assist in the review of Construction project plans and specifications.
