**Job Summary:**
The Laundry Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our hotel’s laundry operation.
This position involves sorting soiled linen, folding and stacking clean towels, operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently, and utilizing folding machines and ironers.
The Laundry Attendant will also maintain a clean laundry room by sweeping, cleaning, and dusting equipment at the end of each shift.
This role is responsible for ensuring a seamless flow of clean and fresh linens throughout the hotel, enhancing the overall guest experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sort and organize soiled linen based on fabric, color, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper preparation for washing.
- Fold and stack clean towels and linens to maintain a neat and organized inventory ready for guest use.
- Operate washing machines and dryers safely and efficiently, adhering to all operational guidelines and maintenance protocols.
- Effectively use folding machines and ironers to process and prepare linens, ensuring they are well-presented and ready for use.
- Maintain a clean and orderly laundry room environment by regularly sweeping, cleaning, and dusting equipment.
- Responsible for sorting and washing all hotel linen, using appropriate detergents and water temperatures to achieve optimal cleanliness.
- Monitor laundry quantity based on wash load and measure pounds to maintain a smooth workflow.
