Given the size of our Special Police Department, PChange Protective Services- Housing Division, offers a wide span of assignments & contracted jurisdictions within the Nation’s Capital. Officers of current interest:
· Foot Patrol Officers (Immediate Hire Pending Eligibility)

· Quality Assurance/Watch Commanders Officers (additional compensation will apply upon need)

Essential Functions of a Special Police Officer (this is a synopsis to include but not limited to) :
· Investigate incidents & suspicions.
· Preserve evidence & scenes of crimes and/or accidents until proper assistance arrives.
· Initiate arrest & detain when proper probable cause is present.
· Responds to calls from our internal service center & dispatchers.
· Assist residents & establishment patrons of contracted areas of service.
· Establish a police presence within contracted areas of service. Maintaining DC Code, Laws & Site-Specific Post Orders.
· Being able to maintain mentally & emotionally during verbal assaults from the public due to personnel views of race, decision of service, political status and on-going national occurrences.
· Properly perform pat downs of detained individuals. As well as legal searches of arrested individuals.
· Prepares an array of reports to assist the client as well as document occurrences. I.e., Incident reports, lease violation reports, maintenance reports, guard mount reports etc...
· Patrol on foot for long periods of time. Inspect facilities. Observe parking violations, dispatching the proper assistance from local PD to ticket allowing you to dispatch a contracted tow company. Utilize proper radio etiquette in addition to monitoring radio transmissions for possible descriptions, orders or immediate calls for assistance.
· Completing the full procedures of arrest that you or an immediate partner initiated to include typing the police report at the district police station, processing the arrest with the district attorney the following morning and reporting for any court hearings as agency representation for the arrest.
· Maintaining all current Covid 19 procedures and precautions in place within the contracted areas.
Eligibility:
· Six months of relevant experience.
· At least 21.
· Driver’s License (If operating a patrol cruiser)
· Fully armed special police officer commission (Non-commission holders need not apply)
· Strong articulate & writing skills.
· U.S Citizen.
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· 9mm certified.
· Officers may be held over the end shift time, due to multiple reasonings. In which compensation will be base pay plus 50% of base pay.
