Job Summary:
 The Divert Checker is responsible for performing the final Quality review on jobs in the Inserting Department by checking all manually inserted and damaged packages (i.e., diverts). Additionally, as an extension of the Quality Assurance Team, the Divert Checker role reviews all paperwork to ensure all operator checks have been completed. 

Some General Duties/Responsibilities:

• Answer machine quality lights for live divert checking and first piece approval.
• Verify that each package’s tagline matches the file.
• Verify that each package contains pages from only one sequence number.
• Ensure packages are of good quality and free from tears, rips, cuts, holes, smudges, or any text-obscuring issues.
• Ensure that all hand stuff and damage values are correct on the QA Sheet.
• Ensure all diverted packages are reported on the Reconciliation Reports.
• Report any quality issues or paperwork/procedure issues to the Quality Assurance team member or a member of management. 
• Perform any tasks assigned by Management.
• Comply with all current and future Standard Work procedures.
• Comply with all current and future security and compliance requirements.

Education/Experience:     

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Previous mail delivery experience preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve and apply resolutions.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills
