Assistant Manager - Atlantic Park
Assists the General Manager to ensure the Atlantic Park operations encompassing two garages, a surface lot, and a valet operation run smoothly. Effectively manages the operational leaders and respective departments, events, Atlantic Park stakeholders, valet, and facility quality assurance. Develops, reviews, and improves company policies, systematic approaches, and procedures. Ensures that operational standards are met through ongoing training workshops for staff. Works with Upper Management, Clients, Stakeholders, and vendors to improve parking programs via technology implementations and develop burgeoning talent. Ensures garages operate at a high level during peak operations. Creates a positive image of the City of Virginia Beach by demonstrating a high degree of professionalism. Motivated to grow as a Parking Professional.
- Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department and staff.
- Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of the Enforcement department and staff.
- Assists with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Valet department and staff
- Assists with overseeing hiring, training, and disciplinary action as needed
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Assists with planning events with Live Nation, Virginia Beach Convention Center, and Sports Center
- Assists developing, reviewing, and improving operational systems, policies, and procedures.
- Initiates and coordinates goals, deadlines, and projects for the operation.
- Working with GM to develop programs to improve the operation.
- Implement and Track KPI performance in Operations
- General knowledge of PARCS equipment in garage facilities.
- Create a consistent operational system across facilities.
- Create a positive work environment that boosts staff morale.
- Delegate coordination of reoccurring training workshops for Operational staff
- Collaborate with Upper Management to establish effective job recruiting platforms in the community (including Job Fairs)
- Manage incident and claim reporting and processing.
- Ensure operations adhere to policies and procedures.
- Manages operation memos and other operation documents.
- Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint applications.
- Uses Google Mail and Calendar applications.
- Participation in Local and National Parking Organizations (PAV, IPMI)
- Motivated to grow as a Parking Professional
- Knowledgeable of parking options, rules, and ordinances
- Uses reporting platforms to research, analyze, and evaluate data.
- Addresses and resolves guest and employee concerns.
- Ensures safe, secure, and well-maintained facilities that meets environmental, health, and security standards.
- Assist in the field with operations as needed for special events and busy weekends.
- Promotes a positive image of the City of Virginia Beach
- Work hours in excess to normal scheduled hours.
- Attending all management meetings.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirement
- 2 years’ parking experience
- 2 years management experience
- CAPP/CPP Certifications are a plus
