Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations within the parking facilities and ensuring smooth, efficient, and profitable management of parking locations. This role requires a strong, proactive, strategic, and customer-focused individual who can manage teams, optimize processes, and improve customer satisfaction. The Operations Manager will lead efforts to maintain facility safety, increase revenue, and streamline operational workflows across multiple locations. They will also focus on maintaining high service standards and compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight:
- Manage daily operations across parking facilities, ensuring efficient use of space, and customer safety.
- Monitor facility cleanliness, safety standards, and maintenance schedules to provide a safe and welcoming environment.
- Team Management:
- Strong leadership, mentor, and managing a team of utility workers, enforcement officers and other operational staff, providing training and development to optimize performance.
- Schedule and coordinate staffing to always ensure adequate coverage and to accommodate peak periods.
- Oversee hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions for operational staff.
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Develop and enforce customer service policies to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner, continuously working to enhance the customer experience.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback, using it to suggest improvements to parking operations.
- Financial and Revenue Management:
- Monitor expenditure and work to maximize profitability for each location.
- Manage revenue collection and cash handling procedures to reduce loss and enhance accuracy.
- Process Improvement and Innovation:
- Evaluate operational processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline workflows.
- Research and integrate new parking technologies, such as ticketless systems, mobile apps, and automated payment solutions, to modernize services.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to ensure parking management systems are updated and functional.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies, including ADA requirements and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure safety protocols and security measures are adhered to across all facilities.
- Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services as needed.
- Reporting and Performance Analysis:
- Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) including occupancy rates, revenue, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Use data analysis to drive decision-making and provide actionable insights to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in operations, preferably in the parking, transportation, or facilities management industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing diverse teams.
- Proficiency in parking management systems, financial reporting, and budget management.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, if necessary.
- Computer experience i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based, with frequent travel to parking locations for on-site inspections and team management.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and stand/walk for extended periods as required.
Salary : $48,000 - $55,000
