What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Steel Technician position at PCIW STEEL Corp.?
We are looking for a skilled Structural Steel Technician to join our team at PCIW STEEL Corp. In this role, you will be responsible for painting all fabricated steel products, including rails, beams, columns, stairs, and other miscellaneous metals.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in all facets of Painting and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. You must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment and have a basic understanding of standard power tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Painting all fabricated steel products to match material data sheets
- Cleaning and preparing metal surfaces to be painted by removal of dirt, grease, rust, scale, and old paint contaminants
- Maintaining Company Safety Rules and OSHA standards
In addition to your technical skills, you will also support other personnel as needed and perform general cleaning and yard maintenance tasks. Basic knowledge of steel profiles and the ability to read / follow simple instructions are essential.
