Heavy Equipment Operator - Denver, CO

We are seeking experienced Equipment Operators to work on our project located in Denver, CO and Golden, CO.

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will contribute to our team by:

• Operate one or more various pieces of heavy equipment loading, hauling and unloading of various materials and supplies.
• Operate construction equipment, such as forklift, front-end loader, and hydraulic excavators.
• Operate jackhammers as needed in demolition.
• Work with and assist the crews in digging ditches and trenches, grading, laying pipe, unloading materials and hoisting material, tools, equipment, and any related work with a backhoe, front-end loader.
• Complete daily inspection report on each piece of equipment used.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor, and clean equipment.
• Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

What you will bring to this role:

• 2 years plus experience in Water and Wastewater construction preferred.
• Experience digging underground.
• Knowledge in different types of underground utilities install.
• Able to dig to grade.
• Ability to understand and read plans.
• Operate equipment in a safe manner.
• Drug free and able to pass a drug screen at all times.
• Valid Drivers License Required.

Physical Requirements:

• Strength to perform average lifting of up to 35 pounds and to 50 pounds, from the ground to waist level.
• Arm, hand, and finger dexterity with both hands involved in activities such as reaching, handling, and feeling—and with good eyesight.
• Should be able to navigate through the work-site on a daily basis.
• Occasionally climbs up and down ladders, scaffolding, stairs.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, high places, and in excavated areas.
• May work around chemicals, near grinding and torching and/or near cranes, and heavy equipment.
• May work in close contact with other people.

The pay range for this position is between $28.00 and $31.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
