Description
We’re looking for passionate and fun-loving people to join our team at Whataburger! As a Porter - Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have a clean and welcoming environment to enjoy their meal and assist in food safety procedures as requested.
Job Summary
- Greet guests with enthusiasm and provide exceptional hospitality
- Maintain a clean work environment following safety and sanitation guidelines
- Perform detail cleaning of lobby, restrooms, outside area, and back of house
- Scrub parking lots
- Clean vents and hoods
- Deep clean ceiling, walls, windows, floors, equipment
- Clean dumpster area
- Assist in restocking as needed
- Assist with putting away food orders and follow FIFO
- Take food temperatures per guidelines when receiving orders
- Communicate any safety and security problems to the manager
- Follow company guidelines and procedures
- Follow the porter cleaning program
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Familiarity with restaurant sanitation and safety regulations

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand during entire shift
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry, and push
- Must be able to read (orders on tickets, menu board, receipts, etc.)
- Frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, cleaning and sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items
- Frequent washing of hands
