What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level PC Technician position at PCLand Network Service?
- Hours:
- Monday - Friday and some Saturdays
Duties:
- Diagnose and assess computers, laptops, and Mac devices.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct call traffic to the appropriate person.
- Call customers to inform them about the status of their devices or projects.
- Open, update, and finalize tickets using our ticketing system (training provided).
- Create invoices (training provided).
- Handle computer pickups and drop-offs, and explain the drop-off procedure.
- Provide computer and telecommunication support for providers and staff.
- Build or configure new hardware, and troubleshoot system issues, including boot troubleshooting, virus removals, and disk cloning.
- Install and update software packages, and create and maintain computer networks.
- Support the IT specialist and the bench area.
Requirements:
- Ability to function with a high level of patience, tact, and diplomacy in handling difficult situations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to process credit card charges (training provided).
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Energetic, inquisitive, eager learner with a can-do attitude.
- Non Smoking
- Well spoken and able to have a technical conversation with clients.
- Must have a car.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Computer hardware: 1 year (Required)
- custom build computers: 1 year (Required)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Windows and mac operating system: 1 year (Required)
- network support: 1 year (Required)
