The Position
The Print Process Improvement Technician will work with operators, supervisors, and managers in production and other departments to 1) develop and improve decorating processes, 2) plan for, install, and optimize production equipment, and 3) troubleshoot and problem-solve.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new production processes as well as improve existing processes.
- Answer questions related to specific production problems.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment failures.
- Assist in planning and installation of new equipment in production areas.
- Suggest future technical improvements in production.
- Available to all decorators, supervisors, and managers to help solve technical problems, and suggests adjustments of equipment or changes of process to improve the quality of work in progress.
- Communicate regularly with the expeditors, supervisors, managers, and other departments regarding the status of improvements in progress, including any potential problems or delays with customer orders.

Act as liaison between production and engineering to ensure technical issues are accurately communicated and resolved.

Document recurring production challenges and propose process-based or technical solutions.

Conduct root cause analysis to differentiate between operator error and equipment/configuration issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge
- Digital art workflow, expert in RIP software
- Proficient in Adobe illustrator and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
- Color management – linearization, calibration, and profiling techniques
- Continuous Improvement experience
- Data analysis
- Project management experience preferred
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical degree preferred
- 1 to 3 years hardgoods decorating experience.
- Digital printing production experience
- Bilingual skills preferred (English/Spanish)
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to support area of responsibility.
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30PM EST - (Hours may vary - flexibility required)
