Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients, schedule appointments, and manage records.
- Efficiently schedule appointments over the phone, optimizing patient satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough assessments, educate patients on self-management, and coordinate care team communication.
- Monitor patient progress, intervene when needed to make a positive impact on their health and overall well-being, and assist in navigating the healthcare system.
- Document interactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Skills.
- Professional and courteous communication with patients and team members.
- Excellent telephone skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in computer and office equipment operation including a copier and fax machine.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and scheduling software.
- Effective verbal and written communication, customer relations, multi-tasking and organizational skills along with working with diverse populations, often in stressful fast-paced environments.
Job Requirements
MUST HAVES
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Own transportation and ability to travel to nearby PCP For Life locations.
- Availability to work at least one weekend day.
- 80% phone communication with patients.
- Strong customer service skills.
PREFERRED:
- Healthcare experience (preferred but not mandatory).
- Knowledge of eClinicalworks EMR (a plus).
