Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Fulfillment & Logistics Manager to oversee the end-to-end movement and management of inventory across multiple channels. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound international shipments, monitoring inventory across various locations, and ensuring the smooth and cost-effective flow of goods from supplier to customer. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, analytical, and experienced in working with global freight, 3PLs, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Inbound Freight & Supplier Coordination:
- Manage and coordinate inbound shipments from international suppliers via ocean freight and air, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
- Liaise with freight forwarders and customs brokers, comparing quotes to secure the best shipping rates and transit times.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Incoterms, customs clearance requirements, and duties/tariffs.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory across all warehouse locations, including 3PL partners, Amazon FBA, and internal micro-warehouses.
- Track and reconcile inventory discrepancies across systems and partners.
- Ensure accurate inventory reporting and maintain real-time visibility of stock levels company-wide.
- Regularly audit and review inventory practices at all locations to uphold operational accuracy and efficiency.
Fulfillment Operations:
- Oversee fulfillment flows across different sales channels, ensuring on-time and accurate order dispatching.
- Collaborate with 3PL providers and internal teams to optimize packaging, shipping methods, and order processing workflows.
- Manage reverse logistics, claims, and resolution for damaged or lost shipments.
Strategic Purchasing & Controller Collaboration:
- Analyze historical sales data and current inventory levels to generate buying recommendations.
- Work closely with the Controller to forecast demand and plan inventory replenishments that align with budget and cash flow goals.
- Assist in preparing cost analysis, landed cost calculations, and shipping forecasts to support purchasing decisions.
Process Improvement & Partner Management:
- Continuously evaluate performance and pricing of freight forwarders, 3PL partners, and carriers like FedEx and UPS.
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements to increase speed, accuracy, and cost-efficiency across the supply chain.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and logistics partners to support growth and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics, fulfillment, or supply chain operations (e-commerce or consumer goods preferred).
- Strong knowledge of international freight (ocean & air), customs clearance, and DDP/DDU shipments.
- Experience working with 3PLs, Amazon FBA, and inventory management systems (NetSuite a plus).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Bonus Skills:
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Flexport, or similar logistics and ERP platforms.
- Prior experience implementing process improvements across logistics or fulfillment operations.
- Knowledge of Amazon logistics, packaging requirements, and shipment creation tools.
