Principle Responsibilities
Hot Runner Responsibilities:
Prospects, identifies and “hunts” for new Hot Runner customers.
Establishes targets and goals for HR sales and activities with management.
Travel to customer locations both domestic and international to support PCS hot runner products.
Develops and maintains productive working relationships with customers and fellow associates that allow sales and marketing goals to be achieved.
Ensures that customers are well satisfied with all products and services.
Resolves customer requests, complaints, and problems.
Provide technical support and training at customer site during startup of new hot runner systems.
Perform rework, modifications, repairs or installation of hot runner systems at customers facility.
Obtains customer feedback and continually works to improve products and services.
Assist with sales presentations to prospective hot runner customers.
Keeps management informed of significant problems through appropriate processes.
Utilizes formal account tracking software to record activity at accounts (Salesforce).
Work closely with Hot Runner Supplier, Field Sales, Inside Sales, Customer Service and Marketing departments.
Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes, developments and new products from hot runner competition.
Follow all safety procedures and policies established both at the customer and PCS locations.
Comply with PCS Team Member Handbook.
Joins industry associations and maintains an active role as required and approved by management.
Attends meetings and industry specific trade shows as required.
Completes special projects and assists territory personnel as needed.
Sales Responsibilities (in addition to above)
Determines appropriate allocation of time supporting HR’s and territory sales.
50% monthly travel required (minimal).
Conducts sales calls to seek the placement of product in defined sales territory.
Makes recommendations to management regarding product development, pricing, and sales projections.
Respond to requests from customers for information.
Promotes goodwill and conveys a positive image of the Company.
Promotes products and services at trade shows.
Ensures that sales accounts are serviced in accordance with company standards and policies.
Makes sales presentations to prospective customers as requested.
Prospects for new accounts and seeks opportunities to increase existing ones.
Conducts regular sales calls to develop customer relationships and follow up on leads.
Forecasts long range account sales, product needs, and communicates related information regularly to management.
Meets or exceeds established quotas and sales goals.
Recommendations for product development, placement, and promotions are made as appropriate.
Work closely with Inside Sales, the Customer Management Team, Marketing, and Product Estimators.
Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in our product line.
Provides backup for other sales positions as needed.
Keeps Company vehicle clean and well maintained.
Skills/Knowledge Required
Portuguese language is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral.
Time management and follow-up skills.
Ability to identify potential safety hazards.
Ability to evaluate mold flow analysis.
Technically strong in the areas of hot runner assembly, repair, troubleshooting along with injection molding process optimization.
Working knowledge of CAD and mold flow software.
Able to use Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Knowledge of company products for the injection molding industry.
Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and principles.
Education/Certification
College degree, technical training, or equivalent work experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Valid passport.
Work Experience
Previous related experience with a proven track record, (3-5 years) of technical exposure to hot runner products in the injection molding and mold making industries.
