Principle Responsibilities
- Analyze purchasing data to track and assess procurement trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor and manage supplier delivery and quality performance.
- Evaluate and maintain strong relationships with current suppliers, ensuring the best value, quality, and delivery terms. Assist with supplier selection and qualification processes.
- Assist in preparing, reviewing, and retaining contracts, agreements, and certificates to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and financial objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with relevant departments to forecast and manage procurement needs.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, and assist with new product offering launches.
- Develop and execute cost-reduction strategies without compromising on quality and delivery timelines.
- Process purchase orders and track orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
- Prepare regular procurement performance reports for management, highlighting key metrics and potential areas for improvement.
- Maintain supplier pricing database through the Price Change Notice (PCN) and Purchase Price Variance (PPV) processes.
- Continuously assess and recommend improvements to procurement processes, systems, and policies to enhance efficiency.
- Conducts supplier site visits as required including domestic and international travel.
- Keeps management informed of area activities and significant opportunities, problems, or concerns.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the procurement function.
- Performs other duties as required.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Highly proficient with business software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, data visualization tools, Microsoft Excel).
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and/or General Business preferred, but not required.
Work Experience
5 years of equivalent experience.
