We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Technical Analyst to translate business needs into detailed technical requirements, process maps, and user stories. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and exceptional communication abilities to collaborate across teams. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, optimize system integrations, and ensure high-quality technical documentation to support the organization’s operational goals.
Job Responsibilities
For all virtual remote positions, in order to ensure employees can effectively perform their job duties with no distractions, we require an uninterrupted virtual work space and there is also an expectation of family care being in place during business hours. Additionally, there is an internet work speed requirement of 50 MBps or better for individual use. If more than one person is utilizing the same internet connection in the same household or building, then a stronger connection is required. Compensation Information
The average salary for this position is expected to be between $75,000 and $110,000/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We do not anticipate candidates to be paid at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis. Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to translate and decompose high-level business requirements into detailed technical requirements and user stories that can be easily understood by development and QA teams.
- Document business processes, workflows, technical diagrams, and data flows using process mapping techniques.
- Effectively manage and prioritize multiple work scopes simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
- Support the development and QA teams in testing enhancements, bug fixes, and new features to ensure they meet functional requirements.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency across different systems and reports.
- Support the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation to facilitate self-service and enhance knowledge sharing across teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production systems to maintain optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Evaluate existing business processes and recommend automation or system enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Experience: 3-5 years of technical/business analysis, process mapping, and reporting in a financial services environment (preferably in retirement plan recordkeeping).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Analytical & Technical Skills:
- Strong ability to decompose business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories. Knowledge of Jira and Confluence is a plus.
- Experience with process mapping tools such as Draw.io, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.
- SQL proficiency required; knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.
- Familiarity with API integrations, data feeds, and system connectivity concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure high levels of accuracy in technical documentation.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Facilitate and lead effective meetings, ensuring clear agendas, productive discussions, and timely follow-ups to drive project progress and team alignment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, taking initiative to manage tasks, solve problems, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
- Scrum & Agile Methodology:
- Knowledge of scrum practices and ceremonies. Experience as a Scrum Master a plus.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
