What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at PCSI?
At PCSI, we are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support our Environmental Services team at Winn Army Community Hospital. The Quality Control Inspector will work closely with the Quality Control Manager or Executive Housekeeper to ensure site-specific quality control and safety standards are met in compliance with contract specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and document quality control inspections and audits on environmental service work completed by Housekeepers and Floor Technicians to ensure contractual obligations and the site's Quality Control Plan are being met.
- Maintain and fulfill site-specific quality control, environmental, and/or safety standards to ensure completed work meets contract specifications and other requirements.
- Report any contractual or regulatory compliance issues to the Quality Control Manager and/or Executive Housekeeper, and work to resolve issues quickly.
- Provide additional support as directed by the QCM, which may include duties outside what is typical for this role.
- In the absence of a QCM, the QCI has additional oversight and reporting responsibilities.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of experience working in housekeeping required, environmental services (EVS) in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Two years of experience as trainer or supervisor preferred.
- Inspection/audit experience preferred.
- Experience in an environment that includes workers with disabilities preferred.
- Government contract experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Requires knowledge of smartphones, iPads, PC functions, and software.
- Basic understanding of Windows applications, including MS Office.
- Knowledge of web-based inspection systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CHEST Certification.
- Ability to manage QCM-established priorities.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written format.
- Ability to work as a team member.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to pass criminal, financial, drug, and driving screening.
- Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
- Potential exposure to dirt, dust, odors, chemicals, and infectious diseases.
- Must be able to work flexible hours when needed.
- If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
