Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Controls and Automation Technical Expert will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining industrial control systems in an industrial environment. This includes:
- Designing and implementing controls and automation systems
- Analyzing and troubleshooting equipment and process problems using control systems and data analysis tools
- Leading large projects with limited supervision
- Designing and administering automation system training packages
- Implementing controls and automation solutions to improve equipment reliability
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation and process engineering, with experience working with Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with exposure to automation, programming, or control systems theory
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of industrial control systems architecture and configuration
- Advanced computer and software skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs
Working Conditions:
The majority of job duties will be performed in a typical office setting. However, frequent trips into industrial manufacturing environments are required, which may involve exposure to noise, vibration, heat/cold, and industrial mobile equipment.
