PCX Construction, LLC (PCX) provides site development services for commercial buildings, roads and bridges, and other structures, as well as the installation and maintenance of various transmission and site-specific water, wastewater, and sewer utilities. The firm’s clients include contractors, construction managers, utilities, governmental entities, and institutional clients throughout the St. Louis region. PCX is privately owned by GPCP Critical Infrastructure Platform, LLC.

GPCP Critical Infrastructure Platform LLC (CIP) is focused on building a platform of complimentary holdings to provide niche construction services that support our region’s transportation, communications, and water and wastewater infrastructure.

Position Description:

PCX is seeking a Compliance Manager to provide company-wide leadership in Safety, Insurance, DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory compliances. This position requires a good working knowledge of construction business practices, the ability to use a computer and the applicable software, and an understanding of analyzing and processing key safety metrics. The ability to work well with office and field personnel is expected, and communication with vendors, subcontractors, and customers professionally and courteously is essential.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and standards
  • Conducting audits and reviews of existing health and safety policies
  • Advising employees on safety procedures
  • Conducting training sessions
  • Addressing and investigating incidents and injuries
  • Developing and implementing health and safety plans
  • Enforcing company policies
  • Evaluating practices and facilities to ensure compliance with legal guidelines
  • Staying up-to-date on relevant health and safety developments
  • Job site visits and spot audits
  • DOT compliance
  • Work with insurance company to settle claims
  • Other duties as assigned

Core Competencies Include

  • Compliance Expertise and Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA guidelines, familiarity with construction industry regulations, compliance requirements, and government policies.
  • Organizational Skills: Effective time management, prioritization, and maintaining structured safety and insurance documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with contractors, vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving: Aptitude to identify and resolve discrepancies and operational challenges.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new processes and regulations and adapt to changing industry standards.
  • Integrity: High ethical standards, ability to handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality, and adherence to professional standards of conduct.

Qualifications

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, or a related field
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation and relevant laws
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
  • Proficient in time management and computer skills
  • Familiarity with first aid, CPR, and root cause analysis techniques

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
