Summary
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for accurately monitoring and enforcing PD’s standards for design, inbound raw materials, work-in-process (WIP) and finished goods. They assure consistent quality of production by assisting in the development and enforcement of good manufacturing practices.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Executes quality assurance plans by monitoring, verifying, and validating processes and products.
- Inspects raw materials and finished goods, gathers data, and provides documentation.
- Separates nonconforming raw materials, prevents escapes to customer, and initiates corrective actions.
- Enforces quality standards, identifies problems, and completes audits.
- Contributes information to Inspection plans, reviews, system improvements, and enacting changes when needed.
- Maintains and improves product quality by completing prototypes and first article inspections.
- Collaborates with others to validate new products, engineering designs, manufacturing, and training methods.
- Collects, analyzes, summarizes and organizes completed inspection information to enter into QMS/Quality system.
- Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment.

Education/Certification
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required throughout the workday.
- Required to have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle. Movement between various company sites throughout the day (and week to week) is required.
