Join our team to maintain and develop BMC Discovery infrastructure across diverse network topologies!

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain BMC Discovery infrastructure
• Configure, deploy, and manage Linux-based systems
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and credential issues
• Develop and document platform procedures with best practices
• Monitor and respond to system alerts and failures
• Engage in change implementation for upgrades, releases, and migrations

Experience & Skills:

• 12 years in infrastructure management, with 5 years in BMC Discovery
• Extensive experience with Linux operating systems (CentOS, RHEL, OEL, Ubuntu)
• Proficiency with deployment/configuration management tools (Chef, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.)
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell)
• Understanding of Windows Server 2012 and domains
• Experience with Apache WebServer, middleware application servers, and Java RunTime Environments
• Knowledge of cloud methodologies and services (AWS, Azure)
• Experience with monitoring solutions (Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Nagios, Zabbix)
• Familiarity with IT Service Management tools (Remedy, ServiceNow)

Preferred:

• Knowledge of REGex in pattern matching
• Experience with Splunk, Dyntrace, Docker, Kubernetes
• REST API integration experience
• ITIL basics and change control management principles
• CompTIA Security or other Linux/network administration certifications

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• BMC Discovery Certification
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
