Responsibilities

TECH OPS ENGINEER I JOB OBJECTIVES:

• Ensure the operational availability of software systems to the organization
• Work toward maximizing the value of technology investments
• Acquire, deliver and support sustainable and manageable solutions that meet organizational requirements and expectations
  
  

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Works in a consultative fashion with department heads to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their processes and technology uses
• Support all departments in their software applications, uses, vendor selections and vendor relationships
• Research new systems and provide system upgrade recommendations
• Manage the implementation of projects for new systems or upgrades to existing systems
• Coordinate and work closely with IT personnel on software installations and upgrades
  
  

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Elementary Knowledge of the following:
• Project management
• Software engineering practices
• Technical infrastructure practices and principles
• DevOps practices and principles
• Server, laptop and mobile hardware and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android)
• Active Directory (user management, group policies, etc.)
• Backup implementation and management
• Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and Exchange Online
• Shell scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
• Virtualization - VMware vSphere (ESXi & vCenter), Microsoft Hyper-V, and Azure Virtual Machines.
• Azure Cloud
• Ability to interact with a variety of internal customers including executives, department heads, vendors, etc. in a consultative, customer-centric manner
• Ability to discern user requirements and develop specifications
• Ability to envision services that meet customer needs or solve business problems
• Ability to quickly get up to speed with new technologies and skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Broad Microsoft technology skills
  

Education And Experience

• BS degree in Computer Science, related engineering degree, technical support certification or at least four years of proven industry experience
• One to three years’ experience software engineering and systems integration
  
  

Pay Range

USD $77,000.00 - USD $91,000.00 /Yr.
