JOB ROLE SUMMARY:

As a Commercial Overhead Door/ Operable Wall Technician at Component Systems, you will play a vital role in ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead doors for our valued customers. You will work with a team of professionals committed to delivering excellence and ensuring the safety and functionality of commercial overhead doors.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial overhead doors, operable walls, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot door/wall system issues and develop effective solutions.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, parts used, and work performed.
• Always comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Commercial Overhead Door/ Operable Wall Technician or a related field.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Knowledge of various types of commercial overhead doors, operable walls, and associated equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Certification in overhead door installation and maintenance.
• Prior experience with welding and electrical work.
• Familiarity with industry-specific tools and equipment.

• Phillips and Flathead Screwdrivers
• Two (2) pairs of Vise Grips (Locking Pliers)
• Side Cutters
• Hammer
• Utility Knife
• Metal File
• 3/8” Drive Ratchet
• 3/8” Drive Long Barrell Sockets (3/8”, 7/16”, ½”, 9/16”, ¾”)
• 3/8” Drive Long Barrel Sockets (10mm, 17mm, 18mm, T40 star, T30 star)
• Wrenches (3/8’, 7/16”, ½”, 9/16”, ¾”)
• Set of Allen Wrenches
