JOB SUMMARY:

The Shop Fabricator Helper will assist in the fabrication of glass products by preparing materials, assisting with equipment setup, and performing various tasks within the shop to ensure smooth production processes. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the glass industry while supporting the work of skilled fabricators.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with the cutting, shaping, and preparing of glass products based on job specifications.
• Help set up and maintain equipment, tools, and materials needed for glass fabrication.
• Support fabricators by handling materials, including glass sheets, frames, and other components.
• Operate basic tools and equipment under supervision, including glass cutters, grinders, and polishers.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and storage to prevent damage.
• Clean and maintain work areas, ensuring they remain organized and safe.
• Assist in measuring, marking, and prepping glass for cutting or assembly.
• Follow instructions from fabricators and shop supervisors to ensure timely and accurate production.
• Conduct routine inspections of materials to ensure quality standards are met.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Perform other shop-related tasks as directed by the shop foreman or supervisor.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
• Experience a plus but not necessary. Will train!
• Must have Clear Background and be able to pass a Drug Screen.
• Be a US citizen or have proper documentation.
• Bilingual a plus, but not necessary.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and team members.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, co-workers and customers.
