Role Overview

GasBuddy is a leading fuel and in store products savings platform that empowers consumers to make smarter decisions and save money on gas. With a passionate community of millions of users, GasBuddy is transforming the way people think about their fuel purchases. We are looking for a talented Product Owner to join our mobile app team and drive the development of innovative features that will delight our users.

The Product Owner will help manage new initiatives on the GasBuddy platform while working closely with the Product Manager.

• Play an active role in story definition, prioritization and design to ensure the requirements are tracked and delivered in the product
• Develop and maintain detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements documentation
• Work closely with the development team to ensure timely delivery of product increments and manage the product backlog
• Provide technical inputs to help Product Strategy define the business roadmap
• Stay involved throughout the entire life cycle of the assigned products, working closely with engineering teams, from product initiation to delivery and eventual product retirement
• Work closely with Marketing, Business Development, Operations, and Support teams to ensure that their requirements are documented and met
• Track dependencies with work being done on other projects
• Driving resolution and customer communication for production issues
• Understanding and evangelizing products internally and externally
• Providing subject matter expertise for Business Development, Program Management, and Marketing teams within the sales cycle
• Coordinate App store releases for both Android and iOS
• Coordinate with the design team to drive best in class user experience
• Research and understand competition and market trends; analyze data to understand consumer behavior and inform product decisions
  

• 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in a mobile app development environment
• Strong understanding of agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
• Experience with wireframing tools such as Draw.io, Figma, XD
• Experience with API design and documentation tools such as Postman
• Proven track record of delivering successful consumer-facing mobile app features and enhancements
• Experience with user research, data analysis, and product metrics
• Familiarity with mobile app design and development best practices, including iOS and Android platforms
• Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a deep understanding of user behavior and preference
• Great project management skills including multiple projects at a time
  

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Business, or Marketing
• Certified Product Owner certification and/or Training
• Hands on experience with Salesforce is a plus
