Knowledge and Skills: Structural Engineering background, Microsoft Office skills required. AutoCAD/Revit skills required
Education: 3 or more years at an accredited civil/structural engineering college.
Experience: Some exposure to and/or experience in general structural engineering design, precast concrete design, Steel design, and/or general building construction

- To assist design engineers with engineering design services on assigned projects
- Assist senior engineers on projects and learn the design process
- Review contract documents and learn how they are implemented in designs, drawings, and product
- Gain an understanding of engineering designs, as necessary, including product design, product connection design, foundation connection design, supporting element connection design, and general lateral analysis
- Assist Engineers with erection drawing development as necessary
- Assist Engineers with production piece drawing development as necessary
- Perform checking duties on erection drawings and/or piece drawings as necessary
- Learn how to use engineering design software
- Visit jobsites and production facility to become familiar with production and erection procedures
