This role is responsible for managing all telecom related transactions including database maintenance, ordering, cancellation, monthly invoice auditing, and communications with external telecom service providers and internal management. The role of the IT Business Services Analyst is to ensure that telecom invoices for contracted services are accurate by validating the charges per our vendor agreement and either processing a payment with Account Payable or submitting billing disputes to the vendors. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with enterprise Accounts Payable / General Ledger processing, internal cost allocations, telecom carrier service invoicing and the telecom billing dispute process.
Responsibilities
- Manages telecom ordering and inventory enterprise wide, including circuit / service / asset ordering, and installation, and / or decommissioning management and tracking.
- Reviews billing and reporting using audits, research, and analysis for departments and / or offices and provides detailed monthly reports ensuring invoices adhere to contracted rates.
- Identifies and documents billing errors, missing transactions, outdated or expired services, inactive lines, or lines currently in service that should not be and tracks disputes to completion with vendor.
- Submits new invoices for automatic processing and manually processes exception invoices for telecom services.
- Manages the relationships with key telecommunication providers and partners and reports on performance.
- Manages the telecom operating expenses (OpEx) and capital expenditures (CapEx) budget ensuring expenses are in line with budgets and forecasts.
- Coordinates invoice reconciliation and payment with Accounts Payable.
- Manages and owns the database of phone numbers used at PDS Health performing audits, corrections, and maintenance on a regular cycle.
- Allocates charges to appropriate departments / cost-centers and acquire invoice payment approvals.
- Provides recommendations for cost savings and / or efficiencies.
