The Eligibility Specialist (ES) is responsible for obtaining eligibility and benefit information on patients for our affiliated offices. The ES ensures that requests from the dental offices are completed in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.

The Eligibility Specialist (ES) is responsible for obtaining eligibility and benefit information on patients for our affiliated offices. The ES ensures that requests from the dental offices are completed in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Call insurance carriers.
- Access insurance carrier and/or affiliated websites.
- Obtain eligibility and benefit breakdown.
- Enter eligibility and benefit breakdown information into a central database and/or other locations.
- Maintain performance.
- Report to Manager any issues, trends, and/or challenges associated with eligibility and/or benefit.
- Interact with fellow Eligibility and Benefits Team members in regards to best practices.
- Work from a queue of office inquiries regarding any issues and/or requests.
- Maintains an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Company policies.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
- Participate in meetings as required.
- Bring forth ideas to improve processes and materials.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience in Dental Field, knowledge of Dental Insurance.
- Knowledge of general human relations topics and conflict resolution.
- Skills required include use of knowledge of WORD, EXCEL and QSI software applications, and use of standard office equipment.
- Ability to draw valid conclusions, apply sound judgment in making decisions, and to make decisions under pressure.
- Strong sense of personal responsibility for tasks assigned.
- Ability to work with others & accept direction.
- Strong commitment to educational advancement.
- Flexibility in adapting processes to meet unique needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively and present information, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to function effectively in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
