The Supervisor, Accounting will oversee the day-to-day and month end accounting activities. Working under the direction of the Controller, Assistant, the Supervisor, Accounting directs and coordinates the daily activities of the accounting staff to efficiently and accurate record operational activities within the general ledger. The Supervisor, Accounting should be a motivated, self-starting individual who is able to think outside of the box, and will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position meets tight deadlines and addresses a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, reporting, year-end audit preparation.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for assigned operational accounting activities required to maintain the general ledger including leading the month end close process.
- Ability to analyze data from various sources and prepare complex accurate reports.
- Perform accounting activities and responsible for complex reconciliation.
- Reviewing journal entries prepared by staff accountants.
- Developing improvements in operational procedures.
- Developing, implementing, and executing policies, goals, and objectives within the department.
- Review all monthly account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ability to understand Oracle Fusion applications.
- Testing system upgrades.
- Assist with supervising and maintaining qualified, trained staff to meet operational needs.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting and over 5 years of general ledger accounting experience. In lieu of degree, 7 years of experience is required.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills with advanced knowledge in Excel software applications and formulas.
- Experience in a multi-regional healthcare, retail, or dental company.
- Master’s Degree in Accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant licensure.
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion.
